Monaghan, Ireland.[433] Clonavilla was assessed as tithe-free c. 1833, though it is unclear if Clonavilla was in James' possession, or his heir's. The tithes may have been assessed by Michael Elliott, who married James' daughter Anne in Apr 1833. Clonavilla was in the estate of Sir T. B. Relgion, Disciple 2 Apr 1875 at Erin Twp., Wellington Co., Ontario, Canada.[443],[444] He appeared on the census of 1861 at Lot 11, Con. 10, Erin Twp., Wellington Co., Canada West (Ontario), British North America (Canada); where David (62, but 52 is likelier) was a farmer, Baptist, wife Abigal (61), David (22) and his wife Eliza (21) and two others, Abigal Stinaf (14, neighbour) and Marget McLeod (15, possible granddaughter) were present. The farm was 100 acres total: 39 devoted to crops, 31 to pasture, 30 wild or wooded. Nottingham, England;[454],[455] married Mary Smith (see #109) 26 Feb 1824 at St. Mary's, Nottingham, Co. Nottingham, England;[456] died aged 59 years 24 Apr 1857.[457] Thomas' portrait was painted around the 1820's or 30's -- a photograph of this portrait exists today.[458] Between 1824 and 1828, Thomas Hulse and Mary Smith lived at Lenton, Co. Nottingham, England, for the births of Joseph, John and Mathew.[459] In 1833, Thomas Hulse and Mary Smith may have lived at Crofts Street, Nottingham, Co. Nottingham, England, for baptism of Thomas.[460] Between 1836 and 1842, Thomas Hulse and Mary Smith lived at Basford, Co. James5 DOYLE; born circa 1801 at Ireland;[503] married Jane (--?--) (see #111) circa 1826;[504] died before 1871.[505] He served in the military in 1828 possibly as an ensign for East York (from east of Yonge and Scarborough Twp.), or with the 3rd West York (Toronto Gore and Twp.), Company 5, when aged 24 years.[506] A James Doyle Sr. received by an order-in council, some clergy reserve property north of Schomberg (lot 34, con 11, King Twp.) on 1 Apr 1830, while residing in Tecumseth Twp. The land was sold in two halves; first in 1852, then 1860[The connection with our James Doyle is uncertain].[507] He and Jane (--?--) appeared on the census of 1851 at lot 30, con 10, King Twp., York Co., Canada West (Ontario), British North America (Canada); where James (50) was a labourer and Jane (47), Patrick (24), William (17), Jane (13) and Alice (12) were present; the family was Catholic, and lived in a shanty on Benjamin Jennings's land.[508] Children of James5 Doyle and Jane (--?--) (see #111) were as follows:

Francis6 MORTON (child of George, #384);[520] born between 1710 and 1725; somewhere in that range;[521] married (--?--) Hatton (see #193), daughter of Henry Hatton.[522] Described as, "Francis Morton, of Tinnahely, the son of George Morton, of Queens County", who "married [a] daughter of Rev. Henry Hatton."[523] (It is unlikely that Francis' Hatton bride was a daughter of the rector of Gorey).[524],[525] He was living in 1743 at Tinahely, Co. Wicklow, Ireland; where he appears on a deed receiving lands from George Morton in Tinahely, Rossabawn, and Lugduff. Henry7 HATTON; It has been said that the father of the "Hatton daughters" was the Reverend Henry Hatton, rector of Gorey (1615-1669), but that is surely false considering the daughters were born around 1710-1729.[551] It has also been said that the father of one of the Hatton daughters, was Henry Hatton (d.1742) , innkeeper of Gorey.[552] It remains unresolved who this Henry Hatton really was. Because of the severe anti-Catholic Penal Laws, he became a Protestant and lived the latter part of his life at Drumcose, a property in Co.
