46. Daniel4 PARISH; born circa 1812 at Co. Northampton, England;[230],[231] married Catherine Hepburn (see #47) circa 1846 at British North America (Canada);[232] died 22 Feb 1875;[233],[234] buried at Sect B, West Ave, St. Thomas Cemetery, St. Thomas, Elgin Co., Ontario, Canada.[235]

He emigrated in 1832 to British North America (Canada).[236] He and Catherine Hepburn appeared on the census of 1871 at Yarmouth Twp., Elgin Co., Ontario, Canada; where Daniel (59) was a farmer, and Catherine (45), Elizabeth (22), Mary J. (21), Susanna (19), Daniel (18), Catherine (16), William J. (15), Thomas (12), Helen (10), Anne (8), James (6), and Sarah (2) were present. The family was Church of England, and all children born in Ontario. They owned parts 6 and 9 on the 6th and 7th concession of Yarmouth Township, farming 250 acres, having one house and barn.

Mary Jane Parish;[238],[238] born circa 1850 at Canada West (Ontario), British North America (Canada);[243] married Richard Hopkins circa 1875;[244] she perhaps died "Died - Mrs Mary Jane Hopkins, June 27, daughter of Daniel Parish; widow of Richard Hopkins; mother of Mrs George Fowler, Mrs Maurice Herbert, Mrs William Henry, William G., James and T. R. D. Hopkins" 1917.[245]

    She and Richard Hopkins appeared on the census of 1901 at Southwold, Elgin Co., Ontario, Canada; where Richard (51) was a farmer, and Mary J (53), Catherine M (24), Elkizabeth E (22), Thomas R (21), William G (17), James W (15), Annie M (12), and Cassaday M (85, an aunt) were present.[246]

  • iii. Susanna Parish;[238],[238] born circa 1851 at Canada West (Ontario), British North America (Canada);[243] married Isaac Abbott 14 Jun 1876 at St. Thomas, Elgin Co., Ontario, Canada; where Susanna (26) was of Yarmouth Twp., and Isaac (25) a farmer of Southwold.[247],[248]

Daniel Parish;[238],[238] born circa 1852 at Canada West (Ontario), British North America (Canada);[243] married Sarah Jane Mills 21 Nov 1877 at St. Thomas, Elgin Co., Ontario, Canada; where Daniel (26) was a fearmer of Yarmouth Twp., and Sarah Jane (18) of the same place, daughter of Daiel and Thereza Mills.[249],[250]

    He and Sarah Jane Mills appeared on the census of 1881 at Yarmouth Twp., Elgin Co., Ontario, Canada; where Daniel (27) was a farmer, and Sarah Jane (22), Gordon (2) and Eva (6 mos) were present.[251]

She and Daniel Parish appeared on the census of 1871 at Yarmouth Twp., Elgin Co., Ontario, Canada; where Daniel (59) was a farmer, and Catherine (45), Elizabeth (22), Mary J. (21), Susanna (19), Daniel (18), Catherine (16), William J. (15), Thomas (12), Helen (10), Anne (8), James (6), and Sarah (2) were present.     He was also spelled John Menery.[276]

    Children of John5 Manary and Ann (--?--) (see #85) were as follows:

    • i. James4 Manary;[199],[199] born circa 1793 at Ballygawley, Co. Tyrone, Ulster, Ireland;[195] married Isabella McLellan 1831 at Lanark Co., Upper Canada (Ontario), British North America (Canada);[196] died 1 Sep 1872 at Bristol, Pontiac, Québec, Canada.[195]

      John and Isabella have many known descendants in Canada.[277]
